Pretty In Pink

My friends daughter is turning "1" this week and her party is this weekend. Amanda is one of my few friends that loves to bake. She's obsessed with cupcakes...to the point where she drives out to L.A. to stand in line for over an hour to get a cupcake from Sprinkles. Crazy! Her craziness was my inspiration to making her daughter, Baby Isla, her very first apron...
Pretty In Pink for Baby Isla!
For some reason, this apron seemed harder for me to sew together. First of all, everything has to be smaller in size. I'm so used to using just one size. Then, the sewing machine that I've been using for a few years now, was a loaner from my mom...
SINGER from back in the 80's...and I'm not talking about David Bowie!
Well, I guess it finally gave out. I finished sewing the apron, but I was having trouble through out the entire time getting the zig-zag stitching to work. Once I looked at the final product, I was very, very, very unhappy! I still wonder why I kept on sewing...

My aunt moved out of state about a year ago and left me tons of craft bins and one of them contained a golden piece...ta-da!!! I found it...
The infamous Euro-Pro my Aunt left behind.
So this sewing machine kicked my mom's old sewing machine out of the way! It was a life saver! So after being careful unstitching the apron...I had to re-sew it AGAIN! But this time the sewing machine was awesome! I was so happy with the stitching.
For the Birthday Girl!
I know it's going to be awhile for Isla to wear her apron, but when she does...I hope she enjoys baking cupcakes with her mother, in style!

Happy "1st" Birthday Baby Isla!

That's a beautiful apron!!! So girly! I love your blog. I found it from the Tie One On blog. I participated with it once and I think I will try the apple cider apron. Just getting back into making aprons. I love making them but I'm not sure what to do with all of them so I decided to open an Etsy store. Check out my blog. www.alwayzbakin.blogspot.com

Thanks Michele! I have a drawer full of aprons. Some I just give away to good homes. I will also participate in the apple cider apron. I'll cruise by your Etsy store & blog. Thanks for stopping by!
