I Miss Blogging & Sewing

Yes I am still here...just not blogging much lately. I have been in my own busy little world. Even though I haven't been blogging, I have been faithfully reading the blogs I follow. And pinning recipes and/or projects that I find awesome on Pinterest...my newest addiction! My sewing machine is still not working. Haven't got around to getting it repaired. Oh how I miss sewing aprons! I have to get back to my sewing groove pronto like I was months back.

Kids are almost back to school. It hasn't been much of a busy summer for them this year. I've been torn between spending time with my kids and trying to build my clientele at the salon. It's been tough. But I have many visions of what I have in store for myself.

I do have to say this...I'm truly blessed to have certain individuals in my life that believe in me and are there for me in good times and bad.

Hopefully I'll be back blogging back to my normal self again soon!

The Green Goblin

The Green Goblin
O.P.I. is having a Heroic Hands contest and of course I had to enter it. I'm a manicurist and my passion is nail art so this was perfect for me to enter. The entry had to be a nail design of a comic book super hero or villain. And so I went with the villain, The Green Goblin from Spiderman.

Visit Heroic Hands at O.P.I. on Facebook and hopefully you'll vote for my entry. And while you're there, LIKE my page Nails By Xo on Facebook. Wish me luck on the contest...I really want to win the Amazing Spiderman O.P.I. polish collection. Thanks for your support!

Yes, I'm back!

So a few months back I decided to end my relationship with Blogger...I was in transition with another blog site, but that didn't go so well. Way to complicated for me. Besides, I don't do good with change! So I've decided to stay and make mends with Blogger. Now I have to deal with taking my sewing machine to get repaired. No bueno!

I'll keep on blogging...

Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich

I was craving a philly cheese steak sandwich after watching the Food Network, so I had to make them for dinner. All of our sandwiches were different and there was none left:
I had to have avocado spread & cheese...lots of cheese!
The best part of this meal...it cost $10 for all the sandwiches! Can't beat that!

Lucky Charms Crispie Treats!

Lucky Charms Crispie Treats
Being that it's St. Patrick's Day, I thought I do a special treat for the kids. I've never made rice crispie treats for them so I went all out by using Lucky Charms cereal instead. I didn't know how easy these were to make!

Italian Grilled Cheese & Beef Sausage With Veggies

For dinner I made Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwiches that consist of pesto, cheese and olive oil. One of the most yummiest sandwiches EVER!!! As a side, it was beef sausage with green veggies.

The recipe for the Italian Grilled Cheese I got from Country Pleasures. I just had to try it and I'm glad I did...

Salmon and Grilled Veggies

Salmon was on my mind for dinner these past few days...soooo,  we had Salmon and Grilled Veggies. Let me say that the salmon was a great hit! My son preferred his salmon raw...since he likes sushi, so no cooked salmon for him. He got steak instead, just as good.

Chicken Bruschetta & Asparagus

All I can say is that dinner was yummy! I made chicken bruschetta with asparagus. Very simple yet delicious. All I did was season the chicken and cook until done and while I was cooking the chicken, the asparagus were being steamed. I topped the chicken with homemade bruschetta. Here's what I used:

In Transition...

Hope everyone had a great holiday and that the New Year has started off in the right direction! I've been busy as usual and blogging hasn't been on the top of my list lately. I've been nursing my right wrist and some stuff has been put on hold...bummer!
