Welcome Back BROTHER!

Welcome Back!

It's been such a long, long, long time since I've blogged! I mean really, really long time! I haven't sewn in months since I had my broken sewing machine collecting dust in the corner. I've missed sewing aprons amongst other stuff.

Screams Spring!

Screams Spring!
This Spring apron swap was hosted by Sue from Country Pleasures. I just got back to sewing again since about 2 weeks ago. I've been dealing with an injured wrist that's worked related and I have to wear a wrist band. I'm a manicurist, so I knew this would happen sooner or later...

10 Days Of Christmas

'Tis the season...and aprons are on my "gift giving" list for this year. And with that said, Adriana, asked me for "10" aprons to gift to her friends AND she would pay me for them! I was like "WOW"! Of course!!! I either sew aprons for myself or give them away, but this time I was actually getting compensated for "10" aprons...I was extremely excited.

Tea Time

My brothers future mother-in-law is celebrating a birthday this month. Irene is such a hardworking lady and is always sending us delicious food with no reason behind it other than she's thinking of us. She's so sweet. I thought of making her a birthday apron and asked Adriana (her daughter) about her moms favorite colors...Pastels it is. I went fabric shopping on Friday and found the perfect fabric...it reminded me of a Tea House...

What About Me?

I received a complaint from a family member when she found out I had made aprons to other fellow family members. Grandma Olga is my kids Great-Grandmother who is loved by her 7 kids, 20+ grandkids, and 30+ great-grandkids. When she found out about Connie's apron, she said: What about me? I found the perfect pattern for her very own apron...

Mint-N-Chip

Being that we're in a heat wave in Southern California, I figured why not make an apron that is refreshing...and so I came up with this apron that I call Mint-N-Chip:
