Rockabilly

Cherries and Polka Dots
Well, well, well...look who's back into the sewing world! Yes, I have been long gone for quite a while but slowly emerging back into my old roots! A quick recap on what and where I have been goes something like this: going on my third year in college, I officially have a teenager (my daughter), critiquing clay sculptures (my sons newest hobby), moved to a nice apartment with my kiddos, and now trying to get back into what once kept my sanity in place! Sewing and crafting!

Happy Teen Birthday Anyssa!

My very good friends daughter, Anyssa, hit the big "T" or "13"...yup, the Teens! It was a Candyland Theme. So you can imagine, it was candy galore at the party! I decided to make her a fun birthday apron, but keeping very fab & hip for a teen!

Went with a flowy mini apron, which could be used just for fun or for some fun in the kitchen! Some of the ballon prints say Happy Birthday on them. So it was perfect! Hope she liked it!

Lost Cocktail!

Citrus pocket with glued on salt beads!
I participated in the Cool Drinks for Hot Mamas! apron swap...the apron package I put together for my ASP made it safe and sound to its destination, but unfortunately, the apron package I was suppose to receive lost it's way to my place.

It's All About The Moms!

Mother's Day is this Sunday and unfortunately I have to work. The duties of being a manicurist. But I'll be pampering other moms by beautifying their toesies and nails!

Rainy Day

At the beginning of this week it was raining cats and dogs...it was starting to feel like fall but now we're heading to summer temperatures once again! That's Southern California weather for you...Well, being that I don't enjoy driving in the rain, I had to resort to looking through my fabric stash and see what I could come up with. It was perfect weather for sewing. Aaaahhhh, the kids at school, a fresh cup of coffee, my second BFF aka my sewing machine (coffee is my #1, but I'm sure you knew that already!) and fabric ready to be transformed into an apron.

ABC's

My kids started school this week. My son in Kinder and my daughter in Second grade...wow, how time flies. Now that they're both in school, I have time to do chores, laundry, grocery shopping, etc., etc. with no hurry! I will miss my summer of: "mom, mom, MOM!", "mom, I'm hungry!", "mom, I'm thirsty!", "mom, I'm hungry!" again, "mom, she hit me!", "mom, he hit me!" and I could just go on and on and on...but I do miss my Stinkers!

The Crunchy Kitchen

This particular apron that I made was for my Foodie sister-in-law over at The Crunchy Kitchen. She cooks mostly vegan and has her own foodie blog with some delicious recipes. Why not make her an apron that represents her, right?
