Hello June!

 

Finally, you have arrived! Yay! Oh how I've been waiting for you! Yes, it's my Birthday month. I shall do whatever my little heart desires this entire month. I'm not holding back. I have a few things planned so far and just going with the flow the rest of the time.

 

Enjoying my time off from school. And I'm set to start my online summer class in a few weeks. Oh, by the way, I passed my first semester class with a...wait for it...wait for it..."A"! That's right! I am very proud of myself. Going back to college was one of the most gratifying things I could've done. Feels great!

 

Now to enjoy the beautiful weather Southern California has in store for us! Happy Summer!

Welcome Lynda!

Meet Lynda, my new sewing dress form.

Now that I'm back into sewing mode...I'm pacing myself again on sewing aprons. Joy! I've been wanting to buy a sewing dress form and FINALLY found one and got a great deal too! Thanks to Craigslist!!! 

So I have named her Lynda. After the friendly lady that sold me the mannequin. Seeing what the actual apron looks like on someone else is going to be a lot easier. Not that I mind modeling my aprons but for picture purposes, Lynda is going to come in handy! Enjoy the aprons Lynda!!!

I Miss Blogging & Sewing

Yes I am still here...just not blogging much lately. I have been in my own busy little world. Even though I haven't been blogging, I have been faithfully reading the blogs I follow. And pinning recipes and/or projects that I find awesome on Pinterest...my newest addiction! My sewing machine is still not working. Haven't got around to getting it repaired. Oh how I miss sewing aprons! I have to get back to my sewing groove pronto like I was months back.

Kids are almost back to school. It hasn't been much of a busy summer for them this year. I've been torn between spending time with my kids and trying to build my clientele at the salon. It's been tough. But I have many visions of what I have in store for myself.

I do have to say this...I'm truly blessed to have certain individuals in my life that believe in me and are there for me in good times and bad.

Hopefully I'll be back blogging back to my normal self again soon!

Yes, I'm back!

So a few months back I decided to end my relationship with Blogger...I was in transition with another blog site, but that didn't go so well. Way to complicated for me. Besides, I don't do good with change! So I've decided to stay and make mends with Blogger. Now I have to deal with taking my sewing machine to get repaired. No bueno!

Okay, so I faithfully read all blog posts and I've been extremely frustrated on NOT being able to leave precious comments on some fabulous blogs!

Snoopy License Plate

I'm a huge SNOOPY fan! I mean HUGE! Last year while watching the news, there was a report made about getting a Beagle license plate for the state of California. The website was given, http://www.snoopyplate.com/, to sign up for this plate. Oh boy, I was all over that!

This license plate is only available to California, which is a bummer if you're a Snoopy fanatic outside of the state. Their has to be at least 7,500 people to sign up in order for this license plate to go in production. The cost of the plate is $50 and the proceeds go towards the museums in California. Awesome!
