Groovy Waves

Today was Day 3 of an insane, torturous, heart pumping work-out! I decided to join my future sis-in-law, Adriana, to work-out using the P90X as our Personal Trainer...let me tell you, it kicked my butt! My body is so sore that every movement I make is painful! I forgot how good it feels after exercising...it gives me more energy...and with that said, here's the fabric I used to make a new style apron...
Aren't these groovy colors?
So off I went to cutting, sewing, pressing and pinning my new patterned apron. Believe it or not, it hurt to press on the pedal while I was sewing...that's how sore I was! But it didn't stop me from sewing. And here was the end result...
By far my favorite!!!!
I did two different sized skirts and this time I stuck to the long, thin ties. The last couple of aprons that I've done, I've used the shorter, wider ties. The bow is pinned so I can take it off and pin it wherever I want. This is the first apron I sew that doesn't have a pocket.
Looks like a mini-skirt, doesn't it?
My sewing skills are improving with every apron I sew. I'm still an amateur, but I'm determined to totally rock my sewing grooviness! I love the flirtiness of this apron. The multi-colored fabric totally caught my eye. So since I was rocking a new groovy apron, I headed to the kitchen and started working on dinner. So for tonight, I decided to make my own version of Sloppy Joe's using ground turkey and spaghetti sauce topped with shredded mozzarella.
Ground Turkey Sloppy Joe's!
Well, what can I say? After 3 days of insanity, I have to replace the carbs and calories I've sweat so far, right? To my defense, I "X-ed" out the chips and had a side of veggies with ranch on the side. Oh, and some Light Churned Chocolate Ice Cream as a reward for exercising...I'm sure I'll be paying for it with tomorrows workout.

Overall, I'm excited with my new motivational partner (Adriana) and my groovy apron. Love it!

P90X?! Are you crazy? LOL Good for you for working out. I'm a whimp and I think I will stick to my walking DVD. That apron is ADORABLE!!! And don't worry about the sloppy joe. You used turkey. And LIGHT ice cream. Good job!

Thanks for the comment. The soreness keeps getting worse. I'll keep sewing somehow!
